Welcome to St. Luke the Evangelist. We are Houston's first Black Episcopal Church, founded in 1920. Today, we are proud to be a diverse congregation where everyone is welcome; one church, diverse in culture, race, ethnicity and age but one in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.

In worship, we are united, acknowledging the holiness of God, to hear God’s Word, to offer prayer and to celebrate God’s presence among us. All are welcome to participate in our worship. Scripture is the foundation of our worship. The service follows an order found in our worship book called The Book of Common Prayer.Learn More
